Turn existing devices into accessible first-line screening tools.

Screening that runs where people already go, on hardware already on the counter. Deployed in the field today; programmatic access is in development.

What camera-based screening can, and cannot, do.

Camera-based conjunctival screening can help identify individuals who may benefit from confirmatory anaemia testing, with particular relevance in settings where laboratory access is limited.

Two things follow from that sentence. Screening produces a signal, not a conclusion. And the value of the signal comes from where it is taken: a community pharmacy is often the first, and sometimes the only, health point a person visits.

Measurement to referral, in one visit.

  1. Measurement

A physiological measurement is taken with a device the pharmacy already has.

  2. Risk identification

The measurement identifies whether the person may be at risk. It concludes nothing about their health.

  3. Health alert

When a threshold is crossed, an alert is raised for the pharmacy staff, in plain language.

  4. Referral

The person is directed to a health professional, with what was measured and when.

  5. Confirmatory testing

The professional decides. Confirmation, diagnosis and care stay entirely with them.

Deployed in the field. Not yet an API.

These two lines are different things, and we label them separately on purpose: one is running today, the other is something you cannot integrate yet.

  • Available

    Screening in the field

Screening runs today in community pharmacies, on the devices staff already have, with a result handed back during the same visit.

    In production today.

  • In development

    Digital screening

Camera-based screening that turns devices staff already own into first-line risk identification tools. Deployed in the field today; programmatic access is in development.

Being built. Not available to integrate today.

AZ54's own field figures. A suspected case is a person referred for confirmatory testing — not a person diagnosed.

What this is not.

  • Not a diagnosis. No result produced here concludes anything about a person's health.
  • Not a medical device claim. We hold no medical device certification and we do not seek to present this as one.
  • Not clinically validated. There is no formal clinical documentation behind these measurements, and we will say so before you ask.
  • Not a replacement for a health professional. The referral exists precisely because the decision is theirs.

Screening where the patient already is.

If you run health points of contact and want screening in them, this is the conversation to have now — before the API is finished.
